The sewing program is more than just a club for the women in our village; it is a space where they can learn, inspire one another, and grow together. Your support makes this possible—thank you!
In a region that has endured consecutive years of drought, the planting and harvesting seasons have grown shorter, leaving many women without their usual busy routines. The sewing program provides these women with meaningful work, helping to prevent negative outcomes and encouraging a sense of purpose and community.
Pillar of Legacy was blessed with sewing machines and materials that allowed the women to practice their craft. Some even attended training programs to become trainers themselves—and they completed their courses successfully.
We were overjoyed to see the women come together, pool their resources to buy materials, and begin practicing their skills. They are now preparing to start sewing school uniforms, a step toward a sustainable, profit-making project that can support their livelihoods. These women have learned to design and create new products based on these acquired skills. Providing these sewing machines was truly a gift that keeps on giving. We are praying that in the coming year, these talented women will take their first steps toward building a thriving enterprise and improving their families’ lives. Thank you for partnering with us on this!
